Help Us Keep Make More Honest Travel Videos:

We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Want to grab some great gear? We have used Osprey Packs for years & swear by them. Check them out here

Need some clothing for your next adventure? Patagonia has some pretty good stuff for all kinds of travelers.

How am I supposed to make a living in Paris now that you have warned the tourists of my profession,
I will just have try to get my old job back as a bell ringer.

  5. Do I have to say NO with a french accent 😄

  6. Sounds like a shit place to visit!

My wife and I have been to Paris a few times. We have friends who live there. We are used to and wary of the scams and rip-offs. But on one trip a couple of years ago, my wife left her bag unzipped for about 30 seconds, which was all it took to lose purse (pocket book) containing EU1,000 and passport. Rome is just as bad.

Some years back, I was walking around New York and someone told me I had ketchup on the back of my jacket. I had a camera, so I was an obvious tourist and I immediately thought I was being scammed. Then a Japanese tourist said pretty much the same thing in broken English. It wasn’t a scam – I had a sizeable splat of ketchup on the back of my jacket. It wasn’t all bad, as I struck a friendship with the Japanese tourist and she and I hung for a couple of days before I had to leave for Boston.

Some of these scams happen in a lot of big cities, unfortunately. Another very common one is if you're trying to take a picture of your s/o, a person may come up to you offering to take the pic for you so that you can get into it as well. They then demand money or else they won't give you the camera back.

  9. Ok this is for all the womans put your money and your credit card on your BOOB.

  10. Spend your money in the USA

  11. StatiControl 07.01.2021 at 17:18

After watching this video Paris sounds like a terrifying place.

My grandma and I were in Paris for 3 weeks. We got approached with the ring scam multiple times. One time my grandma got her hand hit by the door and she was in a lot of pain. Then this gypsy guy approached with a ring. She was having none of it. She took the ring out of his hand and threw it on the car road. He was pissed ,cursing and stuff. But my grandma didn't care and walked away

  13. Jeff Hirata 07.01.2021 at 17:18

Great video. Yeah, they got us with the bracelet. They started putting it on and we said we would not pay anything. Then they made the bracelet and gave us a guilt trip. Well we just gave a few euro out of guilt. I guess they got us.

  14. kenneth shennan 07.01.2021 at 17:18

I don't think there will be much scamming this year with all the nonsense that's going on.

  15. Carsten Bauer 07.01.2021 at 17:18

I went to Europe in Aug-Oct 2019 and watched this video before I went. I saw those same Petition scammers at Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.. and helped some asian girls who were about to get scammed.

  16. One scam I fell for was: Restaurants and Bars advertise Happy Hour 4eur for a kronenbourg pint. When you order a beer (next to the sign nut not specifically the happy hour pint). They'll bring you a Heineken or another beer which will be 10 to 20 euros. Always order specifically the happy hour beer.

  17. Tyler Durden 07.01.2021 at 17:18

Simply going to Paris means you have fallen for the scam.
The place is a hole now. Thanks to the idiot liberals who think that letting everyone into the country is a good thing. It isn't.

  18. Ullib kante 07.01.2021 at 17:18

It's same everywhere in the world. All they need is this slogan "Scammers of all world, unite"

  19. SA is the model 07.01.2021 at 17:18

    Le cunts

  20. I've been there… lovely city, their rail network is full of beggars, never going again…

  21. Dennis Daar 07.01.2021 at 17:18

The whole idea of Paris being something special is a scam.Food is expensive and sucks, most people don't speak english working in a rich city with tourist and it just sucks.Lots of better cities to visit in Europe

  22. Golden Child 07.01.2021 at 17:18

I coat my wallet with sh*t so the scammers get what they deserve.

  23. The petition scam: We got stopped on the Passerelle Léopold-Sédar-Senghor bridge by Musee D'Orsay (broad daylight btw). We already knew it was a scam because we read about it. We tried to walk away, but the pair chased us across the entire bridge, trying to get into our pockets. It was insane. We didn't end up losing anything as we made precautions, put most things in hard to reach places, and put our hands in our pockets to protect anything there (that's how we know they were going for our pockets), but it really shook us.

  24. I’m from NYC. And Paris has nothing on the scammers of our subway system.

  25. TheRetirednavy92 07.01.2021 at 17:18

So, basically just like New York City

  26. I was in Paris and hold my backpack front of me when I was in subway. Then after I get out, my wallet iwas still there in my backpack, but most money in my wallet were gone. All others like ID, credit card were still in there, just the cash gone. And the theft even left me some changes to take the subway back hotel… can not image how did they make it.

  27. Fritz Fritz 07.01.2021 at 17:18

If I ever go back to Europe I will request a loan from every beggar that approaches me. Then I will sell them sex… Mean angry self reproachful sex

  28. As a Brazilian, I see this kind of scam they appear to be so silly.
You didn't see the kind of pro scams you'll find in Brazil 😭

  29. isitchicken 07.01.2021 at 17:18

I met a girl whilst out one night in Paris last year. We got on well and I took her back to my hotel where we had sex 4 times. At 3am I told her that she had to go and it was then that she showed her true colours….she asked me for my phone number and said she’d love to catch up sometime in future. What a bitch huh?

  30. ATANU GHOSAL 07.01.2021 at 17:18

Wait is this a Paris thing ?? I thought these are common features of any tourist focused concentration points (including but not limited to Paris). I have seen this things in Rome, in Paris NYC and even in San Francisco. Being an Indian, I know through my nerves that Delhi and Mumbai has enough of these things … Good job on that word of caution for all travelers, but that should not be applicable on Paris alone ….

  31. I made this Romanian lady scammer laugh so much she forgot why she approached me in the first place. Then i just walked away. This was in Ireland though.

  32. A guy tried to scam me on the streets of Paris, I played along as he was quite good, in the end I gave him one euro for the entertainment value.
The look on his face was priceless when I asked for the dollar back when he insisted more money.
    Best dollar I ever spent.

  33. Three kids were working together to pickpocket me inside the metro. One was asking me for directions to distract and the other one already had my purse opened. I caught on and called them out. On one cares and the kids just hopped on to another metro. Keep checking your items and make a habit of always keeping your purse close to you.

  34. Francois Lancon 07.01.2021 at 17:18

The gold ring scam is a good one, the first time it took me a while to find out what it was about and the second time I just smile and said I knew the thick already and the lady just smiled embarrassingly and left in a hurry.

  35. ImJustKish 07.01.2021 at 17:18

    paris is a shithole

  36. Keith Snider 07.01.2021 at 17:18

I’d tell them to piss off with a dirty look.

  37. The art of misdirection is being used by many foreigners in different countries…..

  38. Etienne Aubert 07.01.2021 at 17:18

I beg to differ: Paris in itself is a scam!

  39. piet de zwart 07.01.2021 at 17:18

most of these scams i already know from other cities. a good lead is to eye up the person who speaks to you. very often they will look eastern-european.

  40. Ghostweasel 07.01.2021 at 17:18

It's a shame to see this happening in one of Africas prettiest cities.

  41. I never carry my wallet in my back pocket. It’s usually in my tight front trouser pocket. If any girl tried to steal it, I would first feel pleasure, then shock, then anger.

  42. Truck and Jeep Stuff 07.01.2021 at 17:18

  48. Master diver Mattman 07.01.2021 at 17:18
